WHAT THE OWNER SAYS
"The sitting room has been our cosy winter hideaway, with the log burner glowing as the snow falls outside. Mornings are a joy in the bright kitchen which catches the early morning sun, making breakfast and coffee as the house fills with light.
We love the freedom this location gives. In minutes you can be in the heart of the city or out in the Peaks for a walk and fresh air. There are so many great spots nearby for a coffee or pastry, with Lisboa a firm favourite, and the Punchbowl is perfect for a relaxed evening drink. The Bolehills at the end of the road has been ideal for walking the dog or clearing your head after work, the views out to the countryside really help you to reset.
The loft is bright and airy but also practical for storage, and the outhouse has been a real bonus for our tumble dryer, extra freezer and storing bikes safely.”
You enter through the back door into the stylish kitchen, remodelled by the current owner with contemporary units arranged in a U-shape. A sink and drainer sit beneath the rear window overlooking the garden, while integrated appliances include an electric oven with grill, gas hob, washing machine, fridge and freezer. From here, there’s access to the cellar, stairs leading to the first floor and a door through to the lounge.
At the front of the property, the lounge is a cosy retreat with space for seating and a feature chimney breast housing a woodburning stove, perfect for relaxing evenings.
Upstairs, the first floor has a double bedroom at the front, a single bedroom currently used as a home office overlooking the garden, and a bathroom fitted with a bath and shower over, WC, towel radiator and clever storage above the stairs. A drop-down ladder provides access to the attic, offering further storage.
Outside, the rear garden is designed for both ease and enjoyment, with a paved area, gravel seating space and lawn. An outhouse adds excellent storage space.
