When our clients were looking for a home 7 years ago they were attracted to number 26 due to its size and the corner plot meant there’s room for plenty of parking. The property had been extended by a previous owner but it needed a lot of work internally, since then, it has been rewired, had a new central heating system, replastered, a new kitchen, a new bathroom, a downstairs WC and a utility room were added too. The gardens were landscaped, a large patio and lawn were added to the rear garden and off-street parking on the side.

Since living at the property our clients have absolutley loved the location, there are plenty of shops, restaurants and pubs 5 minutes walk away in Chapeltown. For work and holidays, it’s great as the train station and M1 motorway are close as well. Since buying the house, they’ve added a four-legged family member to the family, Pickles, a gorgeous Cocker-Poo, Grenoside Woods has become a popular spot for walks. Something they’ll miss is the views from the bedroom window, great on snowy days and bonfire night.

Coming into the property through the front door, on the left are stairs to the first floor and straight ahead is the living room. The living room is a beautiful light and airy room with plenty of space for seating and storage space under the stairs. At the back is a door to the dining kitchen, this room is split, on the left is the dining area and to the right is the U-shape kitchen.

The kitchen has beautiful Shaker-style units above and below the worktop. In terms of appliances, there is an integrated electric oven, hob with extractor fan above, dishwasher and tall fridge/freezer. From the kitchen there is access to the utility room, here there is space for a washing machine and access to the rear garden and downstairs WC.

On the first floor are three bedrooms and a bathroom. Bedroom one is at the front of the property, this is a large double. Bedroom two is another double overlooking the rear garden. Bedroom three is a large single, currently used as a walk-in wardrobe/dressing room.

Externally, at the front of the property, there is a lawn and steps down to the pavement. At the side, there is a gravelled area next to the double driveway that has access to the rear garden. Directly at the back of the house, there is block paving then a path with the lawn to the side, the path leads to the large raised patio.
