"When we started looking for our first home nearly eight years ago, we were drawn to this house because of the outbuilding—it was the perfect art studio with such a fantastic workspace. Over the years, it’s been so much more! It’s been a home gym, a creative retreat, and even our own little escape during lockdown, where we’d enjoy a drink by the fire and pretend we were ‘going out’!
We’ve absolutely loved making this house our home. From fitting two brand-new bathrooms and refreshing the kitchen to laying the beautiful parquet flooring, redecorating throughout, and adding off-street parking, we’ve put so much care into every little detail.
But beyond the house itself, what we’ll miss most is the amazing Crookes community. It’s been incredible having so many fantastic pubs, cafés, and bakeries just a short walk away. If the weather’s nice, we love heading to The Punchbowl for an evening drink or grabbing fresh baked treats from Crumb. And for anyone with a dog, it’s a dream location! We take our beloved Boo Boo for walks at Bolehills, it’s particularly stunning at sunset. With Rivelin Valley Nature Trail nearby and the Peaks just a short drive away, it’s been the perfect place to call home.
Whoever moves in next, we hope you love it as much as we have!"
Step inside this delightful home through the side entrance and into the welcoming hallway. The beautiful parquet flooring flows seamlessly into the cosy living room on your left, where there’s plenty of space to relax, a charming bay window letting in lots of natural light, and a lovely fireplace to set the scene. To the right, you’ll find the stylish kitchen, leading through to the dining room, while ahead, a staircase with handy storage underneath takes you to the first floor.
The kitchen is both practical and stylish, featuring sleek gloss units above and below a marble-effect worktop, with a vibrant vertical-tiled splashback adding a pop of colour. There’s an electric oven/grill, a gas hob, and space for a washing machine, fridge, and freezer. At the far end, French doors open into the dining room, a lovely space with room for a dining table and sliding doors leading out to the rear garden, ideal for indoor-outdoor living!
Upstairs, you’ll find two generous bedrooms, an en-suite, a shower room, and a versatile home office
ursery. The main bedroom at the back of the house is a stunning space with high ceilings, built-in wardrobes, Velux windows flooding the room with light, and a gas fire for those cosy winter evenings. The en-suite is simply gorgeous, featuring a luxurious Nickel roll-top bath, eye-catching herringbone teal tiles, a Victorian-style radiator, a WC, and a washbasin with built-in storage. The second bedroom, another great-sized double, has built-in wardrobes and sits at the front of the property. Next door is the stylish shower room, complete with a WC, a large shower cubicle, and a unique washbasin with a swan tap—definitely a standout feature!
Outside, there’s off-street parking for one car at the front. The enclosed rear garden, accessible from the dining room or via a side gate, is a fantastic low-maintenance space, currently paved—perfect for summer BBQs, a relaxing evening drink, or your morning coffee. French doors lead into the workshop, an incredibly versatile area with lighting, water, electricity, and a wood burner. Whether you need a home office, gym, or hobby space, this is the ideal spot. There’s even additional storage space down the side, perfect for keeping bins and spare wood neatly tucked away.
