Here's what our clients had to say when we discussed their home "“We’ve really loved living here, the road is so quiet with no through traffic, which gives us a level of privacy that’s hard to find this close to everything. It’s a friendly street too, mostly young couples and students, so we felt at home right away. There’s a real sense of community in Crookes, it’s the kind of place where you always bump into someone you know on the high street.

One of our favourite things has to be the garden. Since we added the decking, it’s become our go-to spot for relaxing – it’s quiet, private and an absolute sun trap. Inside, the kitchen is definitely a highlight. It’s bigger than most we saw when house hunting and the high ceiling makes it feel really spacious, ideal for cooking together. We’ll also really miss being so well-located, you can walk into the city or head straight out into the Peaks, depending on your mood. And of course, having Sorrels, Crumb and Tenaya just up the road has been very dangerous… in the best way!”

Step into the property via the rear door and you’re welcomed into a stunning dining kitchen with impressive high ceilings. Upgraded by the current owners in 2022, the space features timeless Shaker-style units with a contemporary twist, a stylish bevelled tile splashback, and an exposed brick chimney breast with built-in shelving. Integrated appliances include an electric oven and grill, gas hob, fridge, freezer, and washing machine.

Just across from the stairs is the cosy living room, a charming space with a decorative fireplace set into the chimney breast, and a window and external door providing access to the front of the home.

Upstairs on the first floor are two bedrooms and the bathroom. The main bedroom sits at the front and is a generous double with a large storage cupboard under the stairs. Bedroom two, currently used as a bright and airy home office, is a comfortable single. The bathroom includes a bath with shower over, washbasin, and WC.

On the top floor is the third bedroom, a double with a Velux window looking out to the rear.

The cellar, accessed from the kitchen, runs beneath the front of the property and offers useful storage space.

Outside, the rear garden is designed for low-maintenance living, with a sunny south-facing aspect. There’s a decked seating area, raised flower beds, and a gravel path leading to the outhouse, perfect for summer evenings or hosting a BBQ with friends and family.

Crookes is one of the most sought-after suburbs with young professionals and families as it has a fantastic, vibrant high street. There is a brilliant choice of coffee shops and cafes including Cloud Coffee Co. Lisboa Cafe & Patisserie, Dana Cafe, Pom Kitchen and Crumb to name a few. For more treats, Sorrel’s Cocoa Bakery is a must and Tenaya Wine has brilliant stock for the vino lovers. For that after-work pint, again there is a great choice with The Milestone, The Punch Bowl, The Ball, Early Bar and Two Sheds.

Crookes also has brilliant greenspaces, Bole Hills stands out, there is a playground, BMX track and you can enjoy incredible views down Rivelin Valley, especially at sunset. It’s an incredibly popular spot for dog owners too.
