“The quiet cul-de-sac location and off-street parking were what initially attracted us to the property 9 years ago. We were looking for a home to start a family and the garden really stood out for us as well. It’s South-facing, we’ve spent lots of time enjoying the sunshine and having great BBQs/parties with friends and family.
We really liked that the house had a wood burner in the living room, we’ve spent many autumn and winter evenings cosying up to the fire. The bedrooms have been great for our daughters, we have so many happy memories living in this house.
The location has been brilliant, the Sheffield round walk route goes past the top of the road and Graves Park is nearby, we’ve been able to leave the car at home, go for walks and picnics as a family.”
Entering the property brings you into the hallway, there are stairs to the first floor and access to the dining room, lounge/sitting room and dining kitchen. The dining room is at the front of the property, there is plenty of room for a dining table, a chimney breast and a bay window at the front. The lounge is a lovely cosy room, within the chimney breast is a wood-burning stove, a previous owner extended the back of the house, which created another sitting area that has also been used as a playroom with doors opening to the rear garden.
The rear extension also means the kitchen has room for a breakfast table and far more storage with units above and below the worktop. In terms of appliances, there’s an electric oven/grill, integrated microwave, dishwasher and space for a washing machine and dryer. From the kitchen is access to the rear garden, downstairs shower room, utility room and store.
On the first floor are are three bedrooms and a bathroom. Bedroom one is at the front of the property, this is a large double with a bay window. Bedroom two is another double bedroom with built-in wardrobes overlooking the rear garden.
Bedroom three is a single bedroom, nursery or home office. The bathroom is finished to a high standard, there is a bath with a shower above, a vanity unit, a towel radiator, a WC and a storage cupboard.
On the landing is an access hatch with a drop-down ladder to the attic space which is boarded and can be used for storage.
Externally, at the front of the property, there is off-street parking and access to the store. The southeast-facing rear garden can be accessed from the kitchen and sitting room. Directly at the back of the house is a fabulous deck with built-in seating, a great space for entertaining family and friends. To the side is a patio then there’s a lawn with established flowerbeds down both sides. At the far end of the garden is the summerhouse, which can be used as storage but has also been a great arts & crafts space for children.
